Shifting Terrain configures a visual vocabulary sourced from organic structures found in the landscape. Informing much of this work was my experience at Jentel Artist Residency in Wyoming.
I studied cross-sections of trees and rock formations, and glimpsed in these complex forms a hidden geometry of manifold space. Structural similarity at another scale.
The resulting images describe points of entry into multidimensional space, moments in which experimental topologies unfold in the collision of the visible and invisible world.
