These paintings were created during a four week residency at the Vermont Studio Center.

The shift from a constant rush of images and sounds in the city to the rural landscape effected a hypersensitivity to sound, in particular.

I focused on auditory information unique to the space of the studio and countryside, interpreting these soundscapes graphically as environment-specific frequencies.
